Position Summary: The Department of Political Science at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Native American Studies affiliate faculty may teach courses in Native American Studies, including Introduction to Native American Studies, Native American Politics, and Federal Indian Law. Responsibilities: Affiliate faculty instructors of Native American Studies may teach 3 - 9 credit hours... including Introduction to Native American Studies, Native American Politics, and Federal Indian Law. We have particular needs for qualified instructors to teach Federal Indian Law... Opportunities to teach both in person and online. Duties include teaching assigned classes, preparing materials, grading, feedback, etc.
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Native American Studies or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in Native American Studies or a closely related field; or JD plus experience in Native American law. Higher education teaching experience in Native American Studies. Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population...
Terms of Employment: Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis... Not eligible for benefit coverage... Expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
Salary: The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy. For more information, please view the pay rates under College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences: Affiliate-Rates-AY-25-26.
