The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Houston invites applications for a position as full-time, non-tenure track, Professor of Practice to start in Fall 2026 in Anthropology to teach both Introduction to Biological Anthropology and Introduction to Archaeology as well as courses in their discipline specialty. The successful candidate will teach a 3:4 course load per semester depending on enrollment and course need.

A four-field background and ability to teach online classes in CANVAS is also desirable. The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies combines degree programs in Religious Studies, Anthropology, and Liberal Studies. A Ph.D. in hand at the time of hire is necessary.
