JOB DUTIES
- Instructors shall also use the companion instructor's guide and workbook to prepare students for exams and assessments.
- Communicate effectively with students and those affiliated with the course, including MCCC radiography faculty and health professions program coordination staff.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in magnetic resonance imaging to keep course content relevant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver engaging, comprehensive lesson plans in magnetic resonance imaging didactic education.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Prepare students for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification exam in magnetic resonance imaging.
- Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation and interpersonal skills development.
- Offer academic support and mentorship to students to help them succeed in their educational and career goals.
- Evaluate and document student progress through assessment and evaluation of clinical competencies to determine whether each student has completed each course satisfactorily.
- Obtain official student feedback through a formalized course evaluation.
- Collaborate with the Health Professions Program Coordinator, Radiography Program Coordinator, and Radiography Clinical Coordinator
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting including the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule to meet educational requirements.
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require: ability to use a key board, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work:Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in radiography or related field from an accredited educational institution.
- ARRT certification and current registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- At least five (5) years of experience as a staff Magnetic Resonance Technologist or Supervisor in an accredited health care facility.
- At least one (1) year of experience teaching Magnetic Resonance courses or serving as a clinical preceptor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Two (2) years of experience teaching Magnetic Resonance Imaging Didactic courses.
- Prior experience in educational program development, instructional design, and learning management systems

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Proficiency in technology and ability to use virtual learning platforms if necessary.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a learning-centered and student-focused environment.
- Familiarity with student assessment tools and methods.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
