Job Summary:
The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine is seeking applicants for full-time faculty positions at the Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level. Applicants should be enthusiastic about teaching medical and graduate students, serving as research mentors in graduate and postdoctoral training programs in Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, and becoming active members of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine, which fosters collaboration between basic, translational, and clinical researchers.
Key Responsibilities may include:
- Clinical outpatient consultations in interstitial lung disease
- Inpatient consultations inclusive of day and night service in the Medical ICU
- Share on-call responsibilities with other clinical faculty to provide 24/7 coverage
- Participate in the education of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners
- Engage in the academic mission of the Division and Lung Fibrosis Center and develop a robust research program in interstitial lung disease with a focus on proteomics and the development of novel therapeutic targets
Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO
Minimum Qualifications: (Vary by rank: Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor)
- Board Eligible or Certification in Pulmonary Science or Critical Care Medicine
- Completion of Pulmonary Sciences or Internal Medicine Fellowship (ACGME accredited)
- Ability to obtain license to practice as a physician in the state of Colorado with prescriptive privileges by the time of hire
- Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Specialized expertise in pharmacology and proteomics with an emphasis on interstitial lung disease
- Experience varies by rank (0-2 years for Instructor/Senior Instructor, up to 7+ years for Professor)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in the development of Pulmonary Sciences or Critical Care Medicine in a community setting
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- General Internal Medicine knowledge base, advanced lung disease and critical illness-related specialized knowledge and skills
- Pulmonary Medicine, Intensive Care, or Subspecialty background
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of standard inpatient and outpatient clinical operations and procedures
- Knowledge of diagnosis in disorders and diseases of the lungs
- Ability to work independently, as well as serving as a team member
- Skilled in the use of an EMR for patient charting and all standard office software
- Ability to develop collaborative or independent research projects
- Ability to provide educational knowledge and skills to various learners

Anticipated Pay Range:
- Instructor: $50,000 to $150,000
- Senior Instructor: $70,000 to $200,000
- Assistant Professor: $72,160 to $275,000
- Associate Professor: $82,712 to $300,000
- Professor: $115,866 to $450,000
