Salary Range: Starting at $20,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Job Type: Part Time, 20 hours per week.

Job Summary
The Business Service Center Specialist I provides financial support for the Business Service Center and Library Acquisitions.
Core Responsibilities
- Manages the administration and monitoring of financial and business transaction processes in support of the Business Service Center and Library Acquisitions.
- Provides support for all Library materials purchasing to include invoice management, processing payment vouchers, vendor onboarding, One-card processing, posting, reconciling and records management.
- Analyzes and processes financial transactions into a variety of university software systems.
- Identifies and resolves issues, concerns, discrepancies, problems, and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures to elevate issues to the supervisor as appropriate. Coordinates with internal departments as needed to resolve issues.
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and ensures the safety of all confidential and sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience can be substituted for education on a one-for-one basis.
- Two (2) years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, or Financial Reporting.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software/systems.
Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
