Part-Time Faculty: DRA 125 Intro to Acting for Majors (Fall 2025)
The Department of Drama within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach DRA 125 Introduction to Acting I for Majors, a three credit hour course, during the Fall semester, 2025. Foundational acting techniques with an emphasis on: vocal, physical, and emotional relaxation; concentration, and dramatic action. The course includes work on consent and draws heavily upon an inclusive range of work from diverse artists. This position is to teach a twelve-day large group movement social dance module.

Qualifications: Seeking a qualified individual who can teach a large group movement social dance module for Swing Dance and Latin Social Dance, specifically Salsa. Instructor would need to be available for 12 80-minute class sessions. In addition: Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
Job Specific Qualifications: Experience with dance instruction.
Responsibilities: Lead a classroom of up to 30 students, with the assistance of the lead teacher in social dance styles for a 12-day module equaling 1.5 credit hours.
