Part-time Instructor, Philosophy
The Philosophy Department at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a lecturer to teach the following courses during the Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 academic year.
Fall 2026:
- 80-286 Words and Word Formation: Introduction to Morphology
- 80-287 Language Variation and Change
One of the following Spring 2027 courses:
- Sociolinguistics and R
- Language, gender and sexuality
- Analyzing linguistic corpora
- Structure of Russian
- Research seminar in linguistics
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Linguistics or a related area. They should be an accomplished educator. Further information about the position and required application materials are available at https://www.cmu.edu/dietrich/philosophy/. Salary is $30,000.
