Your Role on the Team

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Infectious Diseases Pharmacist Specialist, the incumbent rotates through the different areas of the Pharmacy learning: pharmaceutical patient care, administrative functions, drug dispensing and staff coverage with the focus on the care of patients with infectious diseases. The incumbent actively participates as an integral member of interdisciplinary teams caring for patients with infectious diseases, assumes responsibility for their pharmaceutical care and serves as the ultimate resource for information about anti-infectives and for decision making affecting the care of these patients. The incumbent actively participates in antimicrobial stewardship efforts as prioritized by the Infectious Diseases Pharmacist Specialist. The residency starts and ends in July.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for, and obtain, CA Pharmacist license within four months of residency employment
  • Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
  • Completion of PGY1 pharmacy practice residency
