- Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary: $134,981 – $144,149 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and capable Work Integrated Learning and Industry Liaison Manager to build our function capability from our Parramatta South campus!
Reporting to our General Manager of SABEL, you’ll be leading one of our flagship projects through a shift from a school focus to a faculty focus. Partnering with Schools, academic leaders, and industry, you will play a crucial role in embedding integrated WIL practices and grow meaningful partnerships across diverse sectors.
This role is central to building a shared culture of employability across the Faculty, requiring strong relationship building, influence and systems thinking. Our ideal candidate is someone comfortable leading liaisons with both industry and academics, aligning large teams and who is deeply interested in establishing and scaling employability opportunities for students and graduates. As a strategic and pragmatic leader, you will design fit-for-purpose WIL models while supporting high-quality delivery at scale.
What Success Looks Like
- Lead strategic WIL initiatives that align with Faculty and University priorities to enhance student employability and industry relevance.
- Develop and manage strategic industry partnerships to expand engagement opportunities and foster long-term collaboration.
- Build strong trust-based relationships with academic leaders, professional staff and industry partners to enable consistent, faculty-wide WIL practices and a shared culture of employability.
- Provide subject matter leadership in contemporary WIL frameworks, ensuring industry relevant experiences and placement operations are aligned with legislative, accreditation, and University standards.
- Design, implement and continuously improve WIL operating models, systems and processes to support scale, quality and compliance across diverse disciplines.
- Lead and support a distributed WIL team building a high-performance and service-oriented culture.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between academic and professional staff to deliver integrated WIL programs.
- Represent the Faculty in external forums and networks to promote WIL initiatives and strengthen the University’s industry profile.

About You
- Relevant Experience and Qualifications within the Work Integrated Learning and job placement spaces (ideally within a university setting)
- Demonstrated leadership capability working with multidisciplinary teams and building positive work cultures.
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder partnerships, with demonstrated ability to lead through influence in complex environments.
- Expert understanding of WIL frameworks, compliance requirements, and placement operations (including accreditation requirements for highly regulated professions).
- Strong capability in service model development and continuous systems improvement within complex organisations.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to build out and realign a function
