The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities ( CASSH ) includes departments and programs in the humanities, social sciences and interdisciplinary studies, as well departments in the School of Visual and Performing Arts ( VPA ). CASSH continues the established liberal studies tradition of providing curricula leading to the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science degree.

Position Summary

The Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking a Pool Lecturer to teach courses — in person or online — in the history of Africa, time period open. Courses of interest would include HIS 285 (Survey of Modern Africa) and any of the upper-division courses on African history presently in our catalog, such as HIS 386 (Women and Gender in Africa), HIS 388 (Slavery in Africa and the Atlantic World), HIS 397 (African Nationalism), HIS 398 (Colonial Africa), and others.

Required Qualifications

PhD or other terminal degree, or a degree at least one level above the level of instruction, or otherwise approved as qualified by the Dean – Required
