Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:

Education: We prepare tomorrow`s healthcare professionals and biomedical researchers from all backgrounds by facilitating learning within innovative and integrated curricula and team-oriented interprofessional education to ensure a highly skilled workforce. Research: We develop and support a rich array of outstanding health sciences research programs, centers and resources. We provide infrastructure and opportunities for collaboration among disciplines throughout and beyond our university to support outstanding research. We foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic and population research.

Position Summary:

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will assist with developing and directing innovative professional development programs for 500 biomedical graduate students and 350 postdoctoral trainees. It will assist, plan and host TIBBS career panels, workshops, and networking events. Support TIBBS Career Cohorts with event planning. Help with communication and outreach to the research trainee community. Contribute to the development and maintenance of career resources. Advice individuals on career options. Assist with grant writing efforts to support outreach and educational initiatives. Assist with ongoing publications efforts around education research and training initiatives. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will play an integral role in program evaluation, working collaboratively with the evaluation team. Key responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data to support continuous improvement. It will actively contribute to scientific writings, contributing to manuscripts for publication and the preparation of presentations for dissemination at national conferences and meetings.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: A Research based PhD in Biomedical Sciences or a closely related field, or a PhD in Education, Higher Education Administration, or Social Sciences (education, psychology, sociology).

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Demonstrated ability to create or implement inclusive professional development activities. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, coordinate multiple deadlines simultaneously, and delegate responsibilities. experience in organizing and presenting at professional and career development events. Demonstrated success in mentoring or advising sciences trainees.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: PhD in a Biomedical field.
