Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure?: NoOffer Description
Activities and context: The fellow will investigate the molecular mechanisms of action and resistance pathways of novel antimalarial candidates against Plasmodium. Functional in vitro assays will be integrated with molecular and multi-omics approaches to characterize parasite responses and genetic, transcriptional, and metabolic alterations associated with adaptation to drug pressure. The fellow will also experimentally validate candidate resistance markers and novel molecular targets.
Mandatory requirements: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Parasitology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field; proven research experience in molecular biology techniques and/or parasite biology; track record of high-impact, peer-reviewed publications and strong scientific writing skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team; full-time, exclusive dedication to the project, in accordance with FAPESP regulations.
Desirable requirements: Prior research experience in Plasmodium biology, molecular biology, and/or antimalarial drug resistance; practical knowledge of multi-omics experimental design and computational data analysis; proficiency in bioinformatics and statistical computing tools, such as R and Python.
How to apply: Brazilian and international candidates must submit the following documents as a single consolidated PDF: FAPESP Academic Summary (Súmula Curricular) or a Biographical Sketch summarizing academic history, key achievements, and up to five top publications; comprehensive CV (Lattes CV for Brazilian applicants or equivalent for international applicants); complete list of peer-reviewed publications; and contact information for two academic references (name, institution, and email).
