Postdoctoral Associate: Polyploidy - Roeder Lab, Weill Institute (Research & Innovation)
- hold a recent Ph.D. in biology, plant biology, molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering, or a related field with previous laboratory research experience (academic or industry) by the appointment start date;
- be well-versed in RNA-seq and proteomics - used to determine how gene expression and proteins change in polyploid organisms in response to stress;
- have experience with confocal imaging - used to determine how cell growth rates and sizes are altered by polyploidy in response to stress;
- be able to collaborate with teams working on other organisms (yeast, Drosophila, duckweed, Chlamydomonas, and Arabidopsis) and modelers - to ensure that data is comparable and integrated across organisms.

Application review will begin immediately and continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with benefits. The initial appointment period will be one year with the potential for renewal.

Pay Range: $62,232.00 - $88,745.00
