Job Summary
A training position for aging research (Alzheimer's) in Dr. Xingjun Fan's laboratory, involving technologies like CRISPR/Cas9 and high-resolution imaging. Responsibilities include planning and executing experiments, analyzing data, and publishing results.
Responsibilities
- PROJECT PLANNING: Participate in project planning and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- ANALYZE: Analyze experiment results using computer techniques and perform various analyses related to aging research.
- COORDINATE/PARTICIPATE: Coordinate research, summarize findings, and present at scientific meetings.
- COMPOSE: Compose articles for scientific journals and review others' articles.
- SUPERVISE/COORDINATE ACTIVITIES: Supervise students and research personnel, advising on techniques.
- CALIBRATE/TROUBLESHOOT: Calibrate and operate scientific equipment.
- OTHER: Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. and/or M.D. from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mouse colonies, imaging, and experiment planning/execution.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge in aging research; proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, vacation, and more.
