Offer Description
Activities and context: The fellow will conduct advanced molecular biology procedures (DNA amplification, cloning, and sequencing), and produce, purify, and titrate lentiviral particles. They will perform lentiviral transduction to generate stable cell lines, assess expression by flow cytometry, and run large-scale cell culture and protein chromatography. The candidate will prepare samples for immunopeptidomics by liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry tandem (LC-MS/MS), analyze large datasets, and develop scripts and machine learning models for in silico screening. Lastly, they will coordinate activities with partners in Scotland and Denmark.
Mandatory requirements: Ph.D. completed within the last 7 years in fields such as Immunology, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology. The candidate must be self-motivated, fluent in English, and capable of integrating molecular/cellular biotechnology and advanced bioinformatics. Proven experience in handling viral vectors, cell culture, flow cytometry, and recombinant protein production is required. The candidate must have technical proficiency in mass spectrometry data analysis, large-scale data processing, and machine learning applications for developing predictive methods.
Desirable requirements: The candidate must possess scientific maturity to solve problems, proficiency in English scientific communication, and the ability to discuss complex results with experts.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
