Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct research in the lab (80% of time)
Writing and reporting of research (20% of time)
Classification Title: Post-Doctoral Associate AD
Position Summary: The post-doctoral researcher will work on a variety of projects in quantitative genetics and genomics, ranging from practical to theoretical, will develop novel methods to be applied in animal breeding and genetics, and perform analyses in fish data.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification: Highly motivated Ph.D. with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: cell biology, genetics, neuroscience and bioinformatics, and related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in stem cell EV research which may include production, collection, purification, characterization, labelling, proteomic, lipidomic profiling and mitochondrial transfer and role in brain inflamation is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of quantitative genetics, genomics, and statistical genetics is a plus. Proficiency in R, Unix bash scripting, and BLUPF90.
