Essential Job Duties: To hire a full time Post-Doctoral Scholar in order to conduct biomedical research and to develop innovative technologies to investigate gliogenesis.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review scientific literature on adaptive imaging devices, image processing, machine learning and tissue clearing
• Develop imaging systems for various biomedical applications, including system integration, optical design and more
• Conduct research on advanced applications of tissue clearing and computational microscopy related to gliogenesis
• Work with other members of the lab and of other labs to conduct collaborative scientific research
• Write and publish scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and submit abstracts to conferences each year
• Write fellowship applications and work with Dr. Grinbaum on grant applications
• Contribute to day-to-day workings of the research lab

Departmental Required Skills: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or other quantitative discipline

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Proficiency in programming (Python, MATLAB or other). Strong instrumentation experience
