Postdoctoral Researcher, Physics and Astronomy
Job Description
The department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University invites applications to a postdoctoral research position in observational and theoretical cosmology with Prof. Hee-Jong Seo. The incumbent will have a chance to contribute to ongoing and upcoming large-scale structure surveys, focusing on the Roman Space telescope galaxy redshift survey infrastructure (https://roman-grs-pit.caltech.edu/), while also will have a chance to participate in Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument. The position(s) will support both independent research and collaborative projects within the aforementioned Collaborations as well as within the Ohio University cosmology group.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independent research in observational cosmology.
- Participation in large astronomical survey collaborations

Minimum Qualifications
The applicant must have a Ph.D. in astronomy, astrophysics, or physics, prior to the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Solid experience with the cosmological clustering analysis (e.g., galaxy redshift survey).
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental requirements.
