We are now seeking a Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous who will be responsible for leading the University towards achievement of its research, educational and community engagement goals consistent with the University’s Strategy and values. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance Indigenous leadership across the University, contributing significantly to impactful First Nation engagement initiatives, high-quality education programs, and pioneering research.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous will provide strategic and cultural leadership in all matters relating to Indigenous Australia for the University. This role will oversee the Office of Indigenous Leadership & Strategy and provides strategic advice on initiatives to empower and elevate the excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff, and communities.
The role also involves building strong networks and fostering positive community relationships. Success in this position requires the ability to balance academic leadership with executive management and community engagement, and the ability to communicate with cultural sensitivity and respect.
