The Division of Hematology, Hematology Stem Cell Therapy Program has an opening for a Director of Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation. The Division of Hematology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Board certified or board eligible hematologist and/or oncologist to fill this position. The new faculty member would be joining an established group of 15 malignant hematologists and 8 classical hematologists treating a broad array of diseases in hematology.

In additional to the role of Director of Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation, this position will also serve as the Organ Transplant Scientific Director in Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery as well as the Director of Manufacturing Sciences at the Gates Biomanufacturing Facility in the Gates Institute.

The selected individual must maintain a full-time faculty position in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology at the Associate Professor or Professor level.

The new faculty member would be joining an established group of 15 malignant hematologists and 8 classical hematologists treating a broad array of diseases in hematology. The Transplant Director would have both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities, with abundant research and educational opportunities. They would be charged with leading a growing clinical program with over 150 transplantations a year, with an expectation to grow the clinical, research and educational programs. This would involve a close working relationship with the Cellular Therapies program, leveraging resources within the Gates Biomanufacturing facility, and working with the Division's successful and highly efficient Clinical Trials Unit.

There are extensive resources and opportunities for basic science, translational, and clinical research on campus in hematology and through cross-divisional networking. The Division is fully committed to the clinical and academic success of the new faculty member. The individual would become part of a fantastic group of academic clinicians establishing the University of Colorado as a center of excellence in hematology. This is subject to change dependent upon the needs of the organization.

Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • MD or MD/PhD degree
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
  • Eligible for Colorado state medical license
  • Experience in treatment of general hematology

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Professor: $316,787.00 - $375,106.00 (total compensation package)

The annual stipend for the Director of Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation has been established at $15,000. The roles of Organ Transplant Scientific Director received protected time equivalent to 0.1 FTE and Director of Manufacturing Sciences at the Gates Biomanufacturing Facility will receive protected time equivalent to 0.2 FTE.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
