Job Summary
This is a part-time position. This position will work to support the SLCC website. This employee will help the SLCC Institutional Marketing Web Team create, edit, organize, and move content to SLCC website templates on the Cascade CMS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention for detail
- Beginning to basic HTML knowledge
- Beginning to basic Web Content Strategy understanding or experience
- Beginning to basic Adobe Creative Suite skills or experience
- Beginning to basic familiarity with CSS, XHTML, XML, HTML5, jQuery
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College
- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities
Minimum qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 years web programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work with all forms of web content using content management system and/or other HTML authoring tools and advanced troubleshooting skills for all forms of web content
- Basic knowledge or experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, HTML5 and jQuery
- Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of search engine optimized content; experience with Analytics tools
- Understanding of Title II and WCAG compliance web standards and ability to create accessible web content
- Ability and willingness to conduct trainings
