The Program is one of 14 area- or thematically-focused centers and programs located within the Stanford Global Studies Division in the School of Humanities and Sciences.
JOB PURPOSE
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Program’s core objectives, allocating roughly half of their time to event management and half to communications, with slightly greater emphasis on the former.
Event Management

Communications

In addition, the Coordinator assists the Associate Director and Faculty Director with grant preparation and reporting...

CORE DUTIES
- Respond to inquiries...
- Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating conferences...
- Perform basic graphic design...
- Draft and/or generate routine communications...
- Plan and schedule calendar(s)...
- Process and monitor routine financial transactions...
- Maintain office supplies...
- May serve as the point of contact for general maintenance...
- Maintain approved content on websites.
- May perform human resources transactional support...
- May guide and train student and/or contingent workers...
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
High school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent (preferably in humanities or social sciences).
- One-two years of event management experience in an academic setting (2+ years preferred)
- A detail-oriented approach to event logistics...
- Strong organizational skills...
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
- Excellent English writing, proofreading, and speaking skills...
- Experience with timely processing of financial transactions...
- Experience in professionally publicizing events on various social media platforms.
- Webpage management and editing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace... familiarity with Canva, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Oracle, Slack, and Zoom preferred.
