Program Coordinator
Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) seeks a Program Coordinator to support our suite of in-person graduate programs: MS in Environmental Policy, MS in Climate Science and Policy, and M Ed in Environmental Education degree programs.
The Coordinator will manage the day-to-day student experience for a diverse population of up to fifty students each year, including academic affairs, student life and community engagement. Bard CEP staff provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and equity-centered student support, including student success coaching, basic needs referral, and assistance in navigating institutional offices.
In addition, the Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director and faculty in planning and delivering the curricular, co-curricular and administrative dimensions of the programs, and serve as a key point of connection between students, campus offices, and community partners.
This is an in-person role based on the Bard Campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, requiring a consistent on campus presence (at least three days per week) during the academic year, with occasional evenings and weekend commitments as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a primary point of contact and advocate for students as they navigate academic requirements, institutional processes, and campus resources
- Managing student onboarding, registration and billing management, and coordination of student housing, health, and wellness services.
- Utilization of systems (registration platforms, billing coordination, student record management)
- Liaising with campus offices (Registrar, Student Financial Services, Disability Access Services, Health, Counseling & Wellness) to support student success
- Relationship-building with local and regional community partners to support site visits, internships, and place-based learning
- Working with faculty in the development and delivery of internship, capstone, and January-term courses
- Planning and coordinating events, orientations, and co-curricular programming
- Student life and academic policy development and implementation
- Space management
- Program administrative support
The curriculum within Bard’s graduate programs centers environmental justice and community engagement informed by participatory approaches. Familiarity with these issues is preferred.
This is a one-year renewable appointment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in student affairs, academic administration, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Comfort in a flexible and entrepreneurial work environment.

Salary Range: $27 - $29 hourly.
