A full-time Program Coordinator staff position is available in the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
The Program Coordinator will support the Education and Research Center’s mission to advance workplace safety through outreach and continuing education. This position will help plan, organize, and deliver training programs and outreach events while building connections with professionals, companies, and community partners. The role includes both in-person and online responsibilities, occasional travel, and direct engagement at off-site events.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and logistics of continuing education programs and outreach activities, both in-person and online.
- Maintain and manage program databases, including speakers, participants, courses, organizations, and evaluation data.
- Support communication and engagement efforts, including event promotion, participant communications, and management of the Center’s social media presence.
- Track and report program outcomes, metrics, and evaluation results.
- Represent the Center at events, conferences, and outreach activities to strengthen visibility and partnerships.
- Perform related duties based on departmental needs.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Master’s degree is ideal.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in an industrial hygiene, or occupational safety research environment.
- Experience with safety hazards of workplace environments in line with the priorities of the Education and Research Center, particularly manufacturing, firefighting, and healthcare.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, databases, online registration systems).
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally and support in-person outreach events.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
