Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical functions and assist with office operations related to record rebuilding, archiving, imaging, and maintenance.
  • Process official transcripts and perform data entry.
  • Processes various documents requiring knowledge of relevant departmental policies and procedures and interaction with other team members; Assembles, compiles, and edits data and records using Banner.
  • Proofread to ensure a quality product and identify errors and omissions in materials, expediting resolution.
  • Analyze workflow processes, propose solutions, resolve problems/issues, prepare reports, analyze data, provide recommendations to improve workflow, and ensure appropriate use of the student information system.
  • Follow FERPA as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Support student information system Banner data entry and validation, training, electronic document research and workflow management, and production of student evaluation reports.
  • Troubleshoot student information systems and related systems to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Follow Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) policies to comprehend institutional accreditations and policies.
  • Enter course equivalencies into the Student Information System Ellucian Banner, Smartsheet, or similar, and the College Source Transfer Evaluation System (TES).
  • Research transfer institutions to determine their accreditation, type, degree levels, calendar system, course numbering, grading system, and course transferability.
  • Assist with quality assurance review and participate in projects to develop and improve processes and resources.
  • Contribute to the department's continued improvement by actively participating in meetings, training sessions, presentations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Type in data provided directly from internal and external customers.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Accurately enter transfer credits into the student information system for evaluation.
  • Assist with transfer credit evaluations and accurately enter equivalencies into the student information system.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
