About the role:

This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026.

We are seeking candidates at all levels of experience with the drive and passion to deliver high quality customer service to support our strategic aims. This is an ideal opportunity to commence or further your career in Higher Education administration.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day administrative support for our taught campus-based programmes, collaborating closely with academic and student support teams to ensure that the student lifecycle activities run smoothly.

With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer is a valued and trusted member of the team with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

King’s Business School operates a hybrid working policy and you will be expected to spend a minimum of two working days per week on campus.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, enabling independent drafting of documents, virtual learning content, and correspondence tailored to diverse audiences.
  2. Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse complex numerical data.
  3. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to work on new systems.
  4. Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
  5. Strong time management and organisational skills, adept at meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities, with a willingness to seek and utilise support as needed.
  6. Curious, customer service oriented, with a commitment to personal accountability and continuous improvement.
  7. Comfortable with adapting to change, driving own professional development.
  8. Methodical, detail oriented and flexible in approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Desirable criteria

  1. Experience of using virtual learning environments.
  2. Experience in the use of databases, student records systems (such as SITS) and website content management systems.
  3. Prior experience of working in a customer facing environment.
  4. Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
  5. Dedication to fostering equality and diversity in the workplace.

Grade and Salary: £34,713-£38,127 Inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
