The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at the University of Cincinnati, headquartered in the 1819 Innovation Hub, serves as the university’s central engine for transforming cutting-edge research into impactful real-world solutions. As the primary driver of technology identification, protection, development, transfer, and commercialization, the TTO identifies innovative discoveries across UC’s research enterprise, manages intellectual property strategies, and accelerates the path from innovation to invention to market. Through the cultivation of strategic external partnerships and determination of the most promising commercialization pathway, the TTO ensures that each UC innovation is matched with the optimal resources, networks, and strategies for successful market entry. By providing expert guidance, robust connections, and strategic support, the TTO empowers UC’s innovators to maximize the societal and economic value of their work, fueling advancements in health, sustainability, and regional economic development.
Job Overview
Reporting to Commercialization Navigator, the project coordinator will primarily support Commercialization Navigator’s efforts in identifying, creating, developing, conducting, managing, and measuring initiatives, programs, and external partnerships to advance, accelerate, and facilitate the development, transfer, and commercialization of the technologies and intellectual property created at the University of Cincinnati. Through these efforts, the Project Coordinator will develop a strong understanding of the commercialization process and the intersection of innovation, intellectual property, and business strategy at the University of Cincinnati.
Essential Functions
- Organize meetings and communications between technology transfer, inventors, and external partners.
- Maintain initiative and program timelines and documentation.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to external partners, commercialization activities, and outcomes.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and non-confidential summaries based on external need.
- Assist with the development of program and project objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives for strategic communications, marketing and event teams.
- Provide oversight of the execution, deliverables and timeliness for all types of projects.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of relevant experience in program or project coordination.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: up to $65,000 based on candidate experience
