Project Manager - Forbes Center for the Performing Arts (Part-Time, Temporary)
General Information:
James Madison University's Forbes Center for the Performing Arts seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Part-Time, Temporary Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and launch of the 2026-27 Masterpiece Season. This position will work 20 hours a week for 10 weeks. This role will focus on managing schedules, deadlines, and cross-functional communications, as well as coordinating the rollout of key marketing assets across digital platforms and print. The Project Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Branding and Forbes Center leadership to ensure a smooth, timely, and well-coordinated season launch. Resume required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project timelines for the 2026-27 Masterpiece Season launch
- Monitor deadlines and deliverables across internal/external platforms and external partners
- Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, risks, or bottlenecks and communicate solutions
- Serve as a central point of coordination between internal teams (marketing, box office, production, administration) and external partners (designers/vendors/videographer)
- Track action items and follow up to ensure timely completion
- Support clear documentation of decisions, updates, and approvals
- Coordinate the launch of season marketing assets across platforms, including:
- Website updates
- Social media content
- Video assets
- Printed season brochure
- Printed box office posters
- Other related material as needed
- Track asset readiness, approvals, and deployment schedules
- Assist with organizing and managing shared digital assets, files, and version control
- Support the production timeline for the printed Masterpiece Season brochure
- Coordinate deadlines with designers, printers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with proofing schedules and approval tracking
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
- Experience coordinating digital content and marketing projects
- Proficiency with project tracking tools, shared drives, and basic office software
Pay Rate: Hourly
