- Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Project Manager - QUEST Hub to join School of Chemistry and Physics, Faculty of Science.
The Project Manager supports the Centre Director in delivering the QUEST Hub’s research strategy by managing centre projects, research governance processes, and initiatives that enhance research outcomes and partnerships. The role is responsible for end-to-end project management, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met, and overseeing technical, reporting, and compliance aspects of projects. The position will also liaise with internal university divisions including Finance, Human Resources, Office of Research, and Office of Commercial Services, as well as external project partners. The role is based on-site at the Advanced Battery Facility (Banyo Pilot Plant).

The QUEST Hub project will be undertaken by the ESRG and enable QUT to support the growth of a wider range of Queensland battery industries, strengthen existing collaborations and attract emerging industry to Queensland through developing world-class capabilities, facilities and services..
What you need to succeed
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in an engineering discipline, preferably process, mechanical or electrical engineering; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a university, or research-intensive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor project teams and project processes, including budgets, resource management and research reports, and to conceptualise and develop policies and plans, in order to deliver high quality outcomes in an environment characterised by tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated skills in equipment purchasing, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance, preferably battery energy storage systems (BESS) or other energy storage technologies.
- Highly developed organisational skills, initiative and problem-solving ability, including the demonstrated ability to manage projects, people and workflows efficiently to meet agreed work outcomes and deadlines
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly consult, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders and senior managers both internal and external to the organisation in a professionally and culturally sensitive manner.
- Demonstrated high level written communication skills including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, plans, correspondence and other relevant documentation using a range of computer applications.
