English Language Programs Manager - China

- Remuneration: $172,761 to $193,229 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $145,985 to $163,281 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a English Language Programs Manager - China to join QUT College, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.
The English Language Programs Manager (China) is responsible for providing operational leadership and project management for establishing QUT College’s English Language Programs at QUT’s partner institute, Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in China. This role is pivotal in underpinning the achievement of QUT’s international objectives, ensuring the TNE programs are established with compliance with Australian regulatory standards (TEQSA) and maximize the number of students successfully progressing to DUT-QUT award programs. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at DUT, Panjin campus, China during the designated teaching periods (up to three months at a time and up to 24 weeks per year in total). The successful applicant will be required to provide medical clearance confirming the ability to travel and work in China for these lengthy periods.

What you need to succeed
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., Master's in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Education Management).
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, end-to-end projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and delivery of education or training initiatives.
- Proven leadership and management experience in English language program delivery within a higher education environment.
- Deep operational understanding of the Australian Higher Education regulatory framework (TEQSA) and its application to international teaching and course promotion.
- Outstanding leadership, staff management, and team-building capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a cross-cultural setting, particularly within the Chinese education system, with strong diplomatic and negotiation skills.
