Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 25th September 2025.

This role will be based on the University campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you passionate about improving support for disabled staff? Do you have experience supporting change in culture, systems, or behaviours? We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual to join the central Equality & Inclusion Unit (EIU).

The University of Leeds is developing the approach to supporting disabled employees through the creation of a central adjustment fund, to work in partnership with local adjustments and Access to Work funding. The Adjustments Fund Advisor will play a critical role in setting up the systems and processes through which the fund will be managed, and also enhancing the advice provided to managers and disabled employees to ensure that reasonable adjustments are provided efficiently and expediently.

The EIU provides expert advice to contribute to mainstreaming and embedding equality and inclusion throughout the University. We are launching a new Employee Reasonable Adjustments Fund, initially for two years (2025/26–2026/27). As the Reasonable Adjustments Funding Adviser, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of this key initiative to improve support for disabled employees.

You will lead on establishing how this new fund operates in practice, ensuring it is coordinated and managed effectively. You will work closely with the relevant EDI Managers, Department Service Partners, Faculties, Equity Staff Networks and the EIU Engagement Officer to embed and raise awareness and use of the fund across the University. The role will include building and strengthening strong working relationships with stakeholders to promote awareness and embed the use of the fund, including People and Culture, the University’s Equity Staff Networks, Trade Unions, Department Service Partners and central finance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a new challenge and to join a supportive and friendly team. Leading on the set up and delivery of a new initiative to advance equity, diversity and inclusion for disabled employees across the University.
