About the Opportunity:

Brown University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) brings a Brown education to new audiences of learners: those focused on the development of skills and a breadth of knowledge necessary for professional success and leadership. We leverage Brown’s intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning in a range of programs, including serving students outside of traditional degree programs. We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non-degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master’s students, including traditional, non-traditional, and professional students.

Responsibilities:

The Recruitment Manager works under the general direction of the Director of Recruitment and is responsible for managing strategic outreach efforts and for the development of high-performing recruitment staff for the online degrees and executive education programs. The Recruitment Manager will serve as a key operational partner for optimizing Slate CRM workflows, communications, and data integrity. This position is responsible for building and managing scalable recruitment workflows, communication campaigns, and data tools within Slate, while also providing coaching and guidance to supervisees.

The Recruitment Manager will serve as a bridge between recruitment strategy and Slate optimization that will improve system workflows and support recruitment growth. This position will lead in the planning, organizing and implementation procedures that will optimize daily workflows that support successful recruitment outcomes.

The incumbent is responsible for oversight and leadership of recruitment communications to the online program and executive education audiences. This includes accountability in identifying appropriate populations and recipients for messages and oversight of the office’s outreach for recruitment activities.

The Recruitment Manager plays a key role in progressing the recruitment team’s efforts by improving outreach efficiency, enhancing data informed processes, coaching the Graduate Recruitment Coordinators, and improving the prospective student experience. This individual leads efforts to streamline recruitment operations through Slate, and ensures the recruitment team has the tools and coaching they need to focus on successful engagement and yield.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One or more years of experience building, maintaining, and updating the CRM to support recruitment, application review, yield, and enrollment
  • One or more years of experience managing data and records related to prospective students, applications, and other relevant information
  • Prior experience or demonstrated aptitude to supervise and coach staff
  • One or more years of experience providing technical support, troubleshooting, and solving issues related to Slate
  • Demonstrated proficiency developing and maintaining Slate communications and events to support recruitment

Preferred:

  • Experience working with online degrees and non-traditional, professional student population
  • Experience working with international students
  • Experience working with graduate student population
