Renal Pathologist FH-1708
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Rhode Island and Miriam Hospitals is seeking a Renal Pathologist to join the Lifespan Academic Medical Center. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant to Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include board certification in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (or equivalent). Renal pathology subspecialty training is required. The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership in the renal pathology services and provide the primary liaison with the nephrology clinical team. Participation in additional clinical services in anatomic pathology is also expected. The incumbent will be expected to develop and maintain an independent research program in the general areas of surgical pathology or subspecialty. The incumbent will also be expected to participate in the teaching of residents and fellows in the Department and in the teaching of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine courses, in supervising clerk ships for medical students at Brown University and in providing instructional support to the medical technologist training program in the Department of Pathology. Candidates should have experience in a university hospital or comparable institution with active medical and surgical service. Those candidates applying at the rank of Associate Professor must have a national reputation and scholarly achievements appropriate to this level.

Board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty certification in Chemical Pathology, or equivalent experience and credentials. Qualified to serve as a Clinical Provider in Rhode Island, with certification or other appropriate qualification for subspecialty area.
