The ideal candidate is self-motivated and can work independently, has a passion for security and privacy topics in different application contexts, and is willing to learn new technologies. The candidate should have a PhD or MSc in Computer Science or a closely related field (BSc holders will be considered in justified cases). Relevant background and skills include experimental experience with software radios, 5G user equipment, VPNs, Tor, or other hard- and software relevant to the described systems and networks; up-to-date software development and machine learning skills, incl. work with ML libraries, multimodal AI models, etc.; exposure to security and privacy research work; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and a track record of research with publications in top-tier conferences.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join ongoing international collaborations as well as collaborations within the Center for Cyber Security at New York University Abu Dhabi. Applicants for the postdoctoral position must have a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or closely related fields. Applicants for the research associate position must have a MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or closely related field. Excellent experimental skills are required.
The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. Applications will be accepted immediately and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae with full publication list, degree transcript, a statement of research accomplishments and interests (1-2 pages), and at least two letters of recommendation, all in PDF format.
