Research Coordinator

Organization Profile: Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation (MSMF) has been well-known for carrying out translational research and celebrating its 10th anniversary. MSMF with Narayana Health (NH) has created a unique hospital-assisted research environment. MSMF has five major centers: Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCTR), Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Advanced Diagnostic Research Center (ADRC) and Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Outreach Program (MSCOP). MSMF operates Neuroscience Research Programs in association with the Narayana Institute of Neuroscience (NIN), Narayana Health (NH).

Research Position: Research Coordinator

Title of the project: HASP (Heart Attack and Stroke Predictability) tool program

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: SKAN Research Trust

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or allied disciplines.
  2. Available to work in MSMF onsite regularly.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Computational thinking of coding skills (e.g., Jamovi, R, Python, etc.)
  2. Kannada-speaking candidates will be preferred
  3. Interest in neuroscience-related fields
  4. BDS or MMBS degree

Job Duration: The initial appointment will be for six months (probationary period), extendable based on performance in the first six months.

Stipend: Competitive

Job Roles:

  1. Coordination of participant enrolment: Identifying, screening, enrolling eligible subjects, biosample collection for neuroscience research studies, and ensuring signed informed consent is obtained.
  2. Coordination of health data management: Meticulously collecting, documenting, and maintaining accurate demographic and clinical data on study participants, adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  3. Coordination of project activities: Organizing and overseeing various aspects of the research process, such as scheduling appointments, conducting assessments, and managing study supplies.
  4. Coordination of regulatory clearance: Ensuring strict compliance with institutional, consortial, local, and federal regulations governing the conduct of clinical research, including maintaining necessary documentation.
  5. Collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders: Fostering effective communication and coordination between scientists, physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other stakeholders involved in the research.
  6. Coordination of participant sensitization: Providing study participants with detailed information about the research and offering guidance and resources to support their involvement.
