Salary package: $98,387 - $113,252 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full Time, Fixed Term (Until 12 July 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Indigenous administrator to join the Research Ethics Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level administrative, secretariat support to the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) including the quality control of ethics applications prior to Committee review. They will also provide advice and foster effective consultation and engagement on all ethical aspects of research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Located within Research Services, the Research Ethics team is part of the Research and Innovation Portfolio led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation (DVC-RI).
The successful candidate will have experience in research administration or carrying out and/or supporting research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly with regard to engagement and consultation with relevant communities, organisations and other bodies as required under the National Statement.
The position requires effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and proven ability to promote collaborations and partnerships among researchers, staff, students, non-government, business, government sectors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They will have the ability to learn various databases and systems for core business processes and will enjoy opportunities to contribute to business improvement priorities.
