Research Fellow in Slavery and War (Concepts and Theories) (Fixed term)
The University of Nottingham is seeking a Research Fellow in Slavery and War (Concepts and Theories). This fixed-term role is part of the new Leverhulme Centre for Research on Slavery in War, funded by the Leverhulme Trust for up to £10 million over ten years.
The Centre aims to understand the relationships between slavery and war through four research strands: (Re)conceptualising, Understanding, Forecasting, and Tackling. The role involves conducting primary and secondary research, developing new approaches and methodologies, and contributing to the Centre's programme.
Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant field and be at an early stage of their academic career. The position is full-time, starting by November 1, 2025, and ending on August 31, 2028, with potential for continuation.
