Job Summary
Performs work related to differential equations on fractals. This position is considered limited-term staff since it utilizes contingent funding, which is currently only secured from June 2026 through August 2026. Employment thereafter will be conditional based on the continued availability of funding.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and run computer simulations for research purposes
- Develop numerical methods for differential equations
- Determine eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for a fractal eigenvalue problem
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: One (1) year of high school
Required Experience: None
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with MS Office
Knowledge of advanced high-school level (or introductory university level) math
Knowledge of high-school level (or introductory university level) physics
Proposed Salary
The budget for this opening is $4,200.

- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
