Job Summary

Performs work related to differential equations on fractals. This position is considered limited-term staff since it utilizes contingent funding, which is currently only secured from June through August 2026. Employment thereafter will be conditional based on the continued availability of funding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and run computer simulations for research purposes
• Develop numerical methods for differential equations
• Determine eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for a fractal eigenvalue problem

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
One (1) year of high school

Required Experience
None

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient with MS Office
Knowledge of advanced high-school level (or introductory university level) math
Knowledge of high-school level (or introductory university level) physics

Proposed Salary

The budget for this opening is $5,600.
