Are you ready to be part of one of the world’s most advanced metabolic phenotyping centres? Do you thrive in high-tech research environments, love hands-on lab work, and want your skills to directly impact major health challenges of our time?
If that sounds like you, Murdoch University’s Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) wants you on our team!
About The Team
The ANPC isn’t just another lab —It is the largest dedicated metabolic phenotyping facility in the world, equipped with cutting-edge mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance instruments, robotics, high-throughput workflows, and a team driven to push scientific boundaries.

In particular, this role requires an operator with experience working in an instrument facility that specialises in MS, NMR metabolomics or other high throughput ‘Omics workflows.
Your key responsibilities will include –
Run high-throughput sample prep workflows in a PC2 certified laboratory.
Acquisition of biofluid and tissue samples using a range of instrumentation including MS, NMRs, plate readers, robotic liquid handlers, etc.
Ensure equipment are operationalised in compliance with ANPC SOPs.
Perform data quality assurance and statistical analysis as per SOP to assist ANPC Specialists and Bioinformaticians.
Prepare analytical reports for collaborators and dissemination via publications and presentations.
Participate in research meetings and internal seminars.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant information techniques.
