About the role:

Are you passionate about improving the lives of people living with dementia and their carers in Australia?

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Senior Research Associate to play a central role in delivering a national, co-designed digital platform that translates evidence on dementia rehabilitation into an accessible, practical web platform for health professionals, people with dementia, care partners and families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate delivery of the dementia digital platform, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, including Steering Group processes, workshops, focus groups and co-design sessions
  • Facilitate respectful and meaningful involvement of people with lived experience of dementia
  • Support participatory priority-setting and co-design processes, including preparation of digital resource materials
  • Undertake evidence synthesis and curate evidence-based content for the Hub, and lead mixed-methods data collection, management and analysis
  • Collaborate with researchers, web designers, partners and content experts to support platform development and refinement

Requirements

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. ageing, health, public health, allied health)
  • Understanding of dementia-related health policy, practice and service systems, with insight into the service navigation experiences of people with dementia and care partners
  • Experience in planning and implementing research projects, and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and multi-institutional teams
  • Experience with engaging stakeholders, including people with lived experience of dementia

Desired Requirements

Experience in quantitative and qualitative research, including participatory co-design, and knowledge of dementia care and/or rehabilitation will be regarded. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary or multilevel teams, developing digital or web-based resources, an interest in contributing to CARAT, and the ability to work flexibly in hybrid/offsite arrangements within project needs would also be advantageous.
