POSITION SUMMARY: Date application must be received by for priority consideration by: February 5, 2026. Anticipated Appointment Begin Date: February 19, 2026. Job Family Group: Administrative and Professional. Division/Department: Academic and Student Affairs/University Housing. Compensation Range: $3,657.33 monthly or $43,887.96 annually (1.0 FTE). FLSA Status: Exempt. Appointment Basis: 12-month. Time Type: Full-time. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Renewable. This position must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License: Yes. This position is designated as a critical, security-sensitive or safety-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check: Yes. Lead Work/Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes. Remote Work Type: On-campus. Work Hours: M-F (8:00a - 5:00p) Hours are subject to change with notice. This is a required live-in position with some evening & weekend work and emergency on-call responsibilities. Worker Status: Must be able to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: University Housing supports the educational mission of the University by providing a safe, secure, and educational living environment for students... The Area Coordinator (AC) is primarily responsible for student staff supervision, community development, and operations management within the University Housing Department... Supervised by and reports directly to the Associate Director of University Housing for Residential Life.
The AC must be accessible to residents and guests on a regular, daily basis. Some evening/weekend work and occasional travel are required. The person will serve in the primary professional staff on-call rotation for University Housing. Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field.
- Two years of experience at the undergraduate level in either Housing/Residential Life or Student Life/Involvement.
- This is a required live-in position with some evening & weekend work and emergency on-call responsibilities.
- Must be willing and able to live in campus-provided housing.
Preferred Requirements
- A Master's Degree in the social sciences or higher education administration.
- Direct, progressive experience in Housing/Residential Life.
Essential Functions
(30%) Administration and Management: Facility Management, Supervision (5-15 student staff), Organizational Tasks, Duty & Scheduling Expectations, Meeting Expectations, Office hours and duties.
(30%) Behavior & Intervention Strategy: Advising/Referral, Crisis Intervention, Policy Enforcement & Conduct.
(25%) Leadership & Community Development: Programming, Role Model, Leadership Development, Committee Participation.
(15%) Professional Development: Communication, Training and Development.
