Location
(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Responsible for processing admission applications and supporting documents to determine admissions status to sustain the mission of enrollment across campus. Evaluate transcripts to determine admissibility. Serves as the primary resource for special applicant populations including communications with staff, recruitment, management, and cross-campus partners.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews and processes admission applications and documents in an electronic environment
2. Using application and other information, determines college transcripts that are required
3. Processes special populations (applicants) with unique requirements: readmit, international, dual enrollment, Academy for Inclusive Learning (AIL), athletes, and College of the Arts (COTA)
4. Serves as a primary resource for area including communications with enrollment services staff, Management Team for Admissions Operations, as well as other partners on campus such as: Academy of Inclusive Learning, Athletics, College of the Arts, Dual Enrollment, Financial Aid for applicants/students with missing college transcript, and Registrar
5. Assists the department leadership by processing in other areas as assigned
6. Makes decisions on applicants admit/student type, residency status, academic status, overall status and admission status with every application and document received
7. Evaluate transcript(s) received to determine institutional accreditation, transcript specific GPA, and the aggregate GPA for multiple collegiate transcripts
8. Serves as primary contact for sending emails through KSU email resource account to applicants/students who have not indicated that they attended other institutions and that this documentation is needed
9. Elevated interface (written & verbal communications) with applicant, high school and/or collegiate institutions, and affiliate KSU departments
10. Processes and maintains informational lists
11. Processes required curricula requirements
12. Provides training to new hires as directed by leadership

Required Qualifications
Required Experience
Three (3) years of admissions operations work experience in higher education

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge/experience of Kennesaw State University's student information system (Banner & TargetX), and document management system (OnBase)
Extensive knowledge of University System of Georgia and Kennesaw State University guidelines

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Banner specific coding based on specific student types (beyond freshman, transfer, transient, and post baccalaureate
Knowledge of protocol for handling specific student types with affiliate departments (AIL, athletes, COTA, dual enrollment,)
Knowledge of Admission specific policies and regulations based on student type

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

This role is considered a position of trust.
