About You

You’re a strategic and highly organised professional who enjoys bringing clarity and momentum to complex work in a large organisation. You have experience supporting strategic planning and operational activities — helping turn big ideas into practical plans and making sure the right things happen at the right time. You’ve contributed to planning processes such as annual strategy and financial planning, and you’re comfortable helping track progress, coordinate inputs and keep initiatives moving across a busy portfolio. You enjoy working across different operational areas — whether that’s finance, risk, HR, health and safety or IT — and are skilled at bringing together stakeholders to support effective, portfolio-wide operations. You also have a strong understanding of governance processes and are confident preparing submissions, tracking actions and supporting senior committees and forums as the secretariat. You’re analytical and curious, able to distil complex information into clear insights that help leaders make good decisions. You communicate clearly and build strong relationships across teams, using sound judgement and thoughtful advice to influence outcomes. You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift and things move quickly. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable juggling multiple pieces of work at once. Most importantly, you’re someone who takes initiative, adapts easily and enjoys working collaboratively to support strategic priorities and organisational goals.

Experience working in international or cross-cultural environments — particularly within the Asia-Pacific higher education landscape — will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this position, you’ll bring:

Experience developing, executing and tracking strategic, annual strategic and financial plans.

Experience coordinating and influencing business-critical operational processes, particularly across areas such as finance, risk, HR, health and safety or IT.

Experience managing projects, including developing and delivering project management plans.

A strong understanding of governance processes, including preparing papers, influencing outcomes and supporting governance forums or committees.

The ability to analyse information, generate practical insights and communicate them clearly to support executive decision-making.

A proactive mindset and a positive, solutions-focused approach in a fast-moving environment.

The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, working independently while engaging effectively with senior stakeholders and executives.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
