Position Overview

The Senior Director, HR Business Partners is a skilled and strategic leader. This position leads the HR Business Partner team and provides development and support for the distributed HROs across the university. This unit is responsible for documenting HR processes as we prepare for the unified ERP implementation. This unit provides monthly metrics to university leaders around HR processes and head count. This position ensures regulatory compliance within the HR Business Partners and the distributed HR Workforce. This position interacts daily with all colleges and division HR teams to ensure compliance and consistency in our HR practices. This is an on-campus position with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the HR Business Partner Unit. This includes strategic planning, operations, and customer service.
  • Assists distributed HR workforce with creating new and enhancing existing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Documents best practices in HR Administration.
  • Works with the university community to ensure adherence to said policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a member of the CHRO Leadership Team.
  • Responds to time sensitive issues that arise in the college and divisions.
  • Works to grow and develop the #OneHR concept at GSU.
  • Provides training to HR Business Partners as well as distributed HR community.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field and five years of related experience.
