Senior Lecturer in Social Work
You will participate in teaching, assessment and module management on the degree apprenticeship programme delivered by the Social Work team and will have the opportunity to contribute to other related social work courses/programmes. You will participate, as required, in the development and review of the programmes including inter-professional developments across the School.
You will contribute to the interview admissions team for the undergraduate and pre-qualifying MSc Social Work programmes including Open Days which may be in the evenings or weekends.
You will be an experienced Social Worker and have recent academic and/or practice experience in the UK.
You will be expected to have a sustained interest in and knowledge of contemporary Social Work practice. You should have good oral and written communication skills as well as an ability to work without close supervision and work effectively as part of a team. In this role, you will need to be adaptable to change and be flexible with team and workload requirements.
For this role, you must be educated with a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
You will hold a master’s degree or close to completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrate substantial social work experience. You must be registered with the SWE.

An appointment to this role may require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.
