Senior Services Specialist
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in your community as a Senior Services Specialist located in our Lewiston office, helping older adults and individuals with disabilities access the resources they need to live safely and independently. In this role, youll serve as a trusted point of contact - providing information, referrals, and guidance to individuals, caregivers, and families across North Idaho.
Youll respond to calls and in-person inquiries, assess needs, and connect individuals to services such as home-delivered meals, homemaker support, and caregiver respite using established screening tools. A key part of your work will focus on supporting the Senior Medicare Patrol and MIPPA programs - helping prevent fraud, increasing awareness of Medicare benefits, and collaborating with community partners. Youll build and support a volunteer network, maintain accurate records in statewide databases, and keep resource information current. Youll also advocate for clients, empower informed decision-making, and participate in outreach and education efforts throughout the community.
Were looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. You'll bring strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to listen, assess needs, and provide clear, unbiased information. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing high call volumes, using technology for data entry and tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation. Sound judgment, the ability to handle confidential information, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset are essential.
