Job Description

Job Duties

• Works on a variety of technical projects of moderate scope with some instruction.
• May help lead/coordinate small to medium scope projects, that support the university's Quality initiatives.
• Provides subject matter expertise in quality and technical areas as needed.
• May make recommendations and highlight opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
• Uses judgment and discretion in achieving business outcomes in Quality domains.
• Coordinates and leads work in a team setting.
• Advocates for and understands competency-based education philosophy.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

KSAs

• Knowledge of competency-based education philosophy.
• Knowledge of command line operations.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, collaborative software development work environment.
• Ability to coordinate work in a team setting.
• Ability to conduct simple database queries.
• Ability to work with Jira or other process management software.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2 years of quality assurance experience
• Testing experience in a multi-tiered based architecture.
• Experience with test case management software.
• Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or PhD
• Familiarity with scripting tools such as WebDriver
• API testing experience using Postman or SoapUI
• Familiarity with Bamboo, Jenkins, RSpec, qTest
• Familiarity with Banner
• Familiarity with Salesforce
• Irrepressible technical curiosity
