The Online Student Experience Manager leads the strategy and execution of co-curricular students' experiences that support the achievement of desired academic and career outcomes, including student experiences for fully online, location-based, and continuing/professional education learners within Arizona Online. This position designs and evaluates scalable student experience initiatives and support structures that promote persistence, belonging, and completion for post-traditional students, working collaboratively with internal and external partners, including appropriate student governance leaders. This position might supervise employees and serves as a key representative on institutional committees and cross-campus initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities
Student Experience and Program Development:
Designs and implements targeted student experience strategies and high-impact co-curricular experiences for a variety of learner groups, including virtual events, community-building campaigns, and leadership development. Leads initiatives such as student government, social media engagement, and Brightspace course resources for new students.
Institutional Collaboration and Campus Engagement:
Serves as the unit liaison on university committees and student experience initiatives. Develops and maintains partnerships with key stakeholders, including Career Services, Dean of Students, Commencement and Ceremonies, UA Foundation and other campus departments to ensure coordinated student engagement and visibility and inclusion of online and professional learner populations.
Commencement and Special Events Collaboration:
Works as the lead for Arizona Online commencement receptions and homecoming events for all Arizona Online student groups. This position collaborates with the Commencement and Ceremonies team as well as the UA foundation to coordinate cohesive experiences to include virtual and location-based students in main campus celebrations and ceremonies.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
Collects and analyzes engagement data, identifies trends, and refines programs based on insights. Produces reports and recommendations for unit leadership. Develops and updates training and promotional materials to align with institutional goals and emerging best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to develop and lead student engagement initiatives that support connection, belonging, and goal completion across online, location-based, and non-credit learners.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-campus partners and represent the unit on institutional committees and initiatives.
- Knowledge of student-facing communication strategies across platforms (e.g., CRM, LMS, social media).
- Ability to collect, analyze, and apply data to assess impact and improve student engagement and experience initiatives.
- Ability to design and deliver programming that aligns with student development theory and the unique needs of post-traditional, online, and professional learners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and consistent learner support.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students in a higher education setting.
