SFF currently manages over 210 University scholarship programmes for 1,700 students, worth over £62m per year. SFF’s scholarships team is a friendly and supportive group, which is currently growing from 12 to 14 people. The size and experience of the team helps us to ensure new team members can settle in quickly and thrive in their new role. This post has become available as the previous postholder has been promoted within the team.

About the Role
In this role you’ll be primarily supporting the Clarendon Fund, which is the University’s largest postgraduate scholarship programme. Clarendon is focused on academic excellence and supports outstanding students across all subjects and from all across the world. You can read more about the Clarendon Fund at https://www.ox.ac.uk/clarendon.
Clarendon is large enough that there are three full-time members of the scholarships team focused on it and you’ll work alongside Clarendon’s Student Funding Manager and Student Funding Officer to ensure we provide a seamless service to our students and partners. Within the role you’ll undertake a wide range of tasks from supporting the selection of new scholars, through to helping organise events and resolving scholars’ queries. You’ll get to work with partners from across the University, and have the opportunity to learn a lot about the University while doing so.
While we are ideally looking for someone who meets the selection criteria, we are also committed to offering development opportunities. Therefore, if you don’t tick all the boxes but have transferrable skills, and are motivated to develop and work with us, then we would welcome an application from you.
About You
You will need to be innovative, well-organised, meticulous, and able to maintain good working relationships with our partners. You will draw on your numeracy and IT skills, providing an excellent service and enabling Clarendon to keep on making a positive difference to our students’ lives.
Application Process
To apply, please upload:
- A covering letter/supporting statement, saying how you meet the criteria for the role and your motivation for applying for this role
- Your CV

We believe a good recruitment process is about getting to know more about you. We will not use AI to assess your application, and all applications will be read by the members of the interview panel. Although AI can be a really useful tool, we would rather you did not use it in writing your covering letter / supporting statement. You can tell us about yourself better in your own words.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 5th May. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 20th May, and will be held in person at the University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford.
